Working in a joint venture partnership with J & J Denholm Limited, Serco operates and maintains a fleet of 150 vessels and lighters for the Royal Navy and Armed Forces at ports at Devonport, Portsmouth and The Clyde Naval Bases as the joint venture, Serco Denholm. It provides a full range of waterborne services to the Royal Navy and Armed Forces at Devonport, Portsmouth and the Clyde. The contract, which commenced in 1996, and developed into a partnering agreement with the Warship Support Agency in 2003, draws on the considerable maritime expertise of the joint venture's personnel as they operate around 150 assets providing Ports Management, Ship Procurement & Operation, Research Vessels and Passenger Vessels.
