Much longer than that! She's been in the basin since 1989, and has been in a terrible state for years, but is still just hanging on. She was due to be scrapped in 2014 after hull inspection, but given a last minute reprieve by the government.

Plans to return her to Galway as a floating boutique hotel, restaurant and (you guessed it) micro-brewery have failed, though she might now be restored and brought into the city centre on the Liffey, near to "Cill Áirne" and "Jeanie Johnston".

Does anyone if this former ferry is still afloat? I have read of preservation plans made about four years ago, but can find nothing definite as to her fate.
Built: 1958 for Coras Iompair Eireann for supply services to the Aran Islands from Galway.
She was moored in the Grand Canal Basin, Dublin in September 2013.
