Description:

P.Cabello, Ven. 25.June 09

She lies in the wreck corner, but judging by her state she seems to be a tug, been under construction and then stopped construction. She clearly is not a old tug, the hull and else is in a rather good state

She's either VESCA-R5 or R6.

The tug is a one of a series of 4 (build at CD Holmer, Berverley) for United Towing and names where HULLMAN, SEAMAN, SUPERMAN and YORKSHIREMAN. HULLMAN sank in the Northsea 23/10/1971 and YROKSHIREMAN was renamed LADY THERESA (Humber Tugs, a United Towing subsidiary) and later ATLAS (Tsavliris, not sure if she still exists).

SEAMAN is R-5 (IMO 6701747), SUPERMAN is R-6 (6706694).

3750 IHP, 2400 BHP delivering 25 ton BP and a speed of 12kn.

This came from WIM,,, anyone knows if it is the R5 or R6
