Hi Ken,

Nicely captured.
I have seen her as both Royal Viking Sun and Seabourn Sun and had every intention of seeing her yesterday but it completely slipped my mind :-x until I logged on to AIS just to see her passing Tilbury power station.

Never mind, cant get them all.

Regards

Bob

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the comment, hard luck on missing her, I know the feeling, I have missed a few going past the Power Station, you can have another go on Aug 22nd or Sept 6th when she is coming again to Greenwich.

Ken

Thanks Ken, I'll put those dates in the diary.

I was lucky, popped down to Canvey yesterday on the off chance and saw her passing. Nice ship, and she had slipped my mind too so they are always better when unexpected!

Bob... I was at Southend today so gave a wave as the Balmoral came storming past with you onboard. She does go at a heck of a pace for an old ship. Certainly wouldn't take 40 hours to get to Newcastle! 8-)

Hi John,

You wasn't waving at me, I'm doing the trip to Ipswich on Thursday
Yes, she moved quite well the last time I travelled on her, just hope the weather is as kind this time.

Bob

Hi Ken

Nice shot - I'm a little surprised that the ship is taking such a long time to travel between Gravesend and North Shields, it left your end of the country yesterday and is going to take something like 40 hours to enter the Tyne tomorrow at 06.00. I think if I was on that cruise I wouldn't be too chuffed with the idea of spending so much time meandering up the North Sea :-x

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the comment, her movements are very strange indeed, currently at 21-00
on Sunday she is showing off Scarborough pointing in the wrong direction, something wrong with the calculations somewhere I guess, like you say it is a heck of a long time to do that trip up the coast, the old colliers of years gone by could do it much quicker.

Hope you manage to catch her.

Regards
Ken
