Description:

Built in 2000 to Lake Champlain Transportations specification’s, by Eastern Shipbuilding Group in Panama City, Florida. 216 feet in length use on the Grand Isle-Cumberland Head Lake Champlain crossing, rated for winter weather and ice she is equipped with stainless steel propellers and powered by two 855 HP Caterpillar 3508B diesel engines. The “Cumberland” is the third “take apart ferry built to be delivered with it pilot house unbolted and stowed on the deck while transiting up the Champlain ship canal to be put back together at Burlington VT before being placed in service
