Description:

The American Valor laid up at the CSX Railroad coal dock on August 22, 2009, Toledo, Ohio on the Maumee River. Built in 1953 by the American Shipbuilding Co. of Lorain, Ohio, the ship was lengthened 120 feet by the Fraser Shipyard of Superior, Wisconsin in 1974, and was converted to a self-unloader in 1982. For most of her life, from 1953 to 2006 she sailed as the Armco.
