Hello

I canot agree with your idea to give Mega One as title and Malta as flag for this set of pictures taken at Toulon on 23rd of June as until 1st July 2009 she was the Carangue - French flag and Toulon as port of registry.

She left Toulon on 26th of june to Marseille and stay chartered there up to 1st July. During that time all equipment wher transfered to the Bourbon Apsara renamed Jason on 1st July when taking the French Navy charter.

In fact the Mega One was never at Toulon. She was always Carangue there.

Thanks for sharing pictures, have a nice days

Hi,

Christian have a closer look at the IMO number on both side view photos, would you.
I had her as Carangue myself but the corresponding IMO belongs to Mega One according to LRF. So either you are right and they have a mix up in their database or...?

Equasis says in ship history

CURRENT AND FORMER NAME(S)
Name of ship Date of record Source

MEGA ONE 2009-07-20 LRF
CARANGUE 2000-05-12 LRF

salut,

Ed

Hello

Yes of course there is the same IMO number for the Carangue and the Mega One as she's the same ship ! This is the purpose of IMO number : follow the ship even with name change.

And as with your information this number is for the Carangue from 12 May 2000 up to 20 july 2009 - Then since 2009/07/20 this number is for the Mega One.

As your pics was taken in june 2009 she's the Carangue your title with Mega One is a mistake

A feel a bit silly I have to explain this. I posted the photo in september.
Posting a photo here means passing it by the IMO lookup function.

To have it fit the IMO at that time, Mega One, was the only name available. I repaired that by stating these were some last shots "still named Carangue" in the text field when i posted them.
So I think thats perfectly clear to anyone reading the text.

Hello

It's just a pitty as for example as I used to sail aboard the Carangue I was looking for a picture of her with her new name and searching with Mega One I found your pics ... With the Carangue !

At the end it still something wrong with this way !
