It was state enterprise "Gryf" from Szczecin, who decided to order 3 ships, to support vessels operating in distant areas.
Gdańsk Shipyard proposed B-433 reefers, that were adaptation of type B-443 fruit carriers, built for USSR:

B-433 ships had the same hull and propulsion (Gdańsk built B&W 762 V2BF-140, 8400 hp) and speed of 19,0 kn.
Externally, they were different by one deck lower superstructure, that still offered accommodation for 56 persons.

In July 1975 there was reorganization and the ships were transferred to newly separated owner, called "Transocean".

Aleksandra Kollontay was a different class, B443 of which 12 were built for operation by USSR (Latvian Shipping Co.)

B433 type comprised 3 vessels Halniak, Lewanter and Buran, all reefers built for the Polish fishing industry

According to my records, Halniak was sold Jai Bharat Steel Co., anchored off Alang, IND, 25:04:1994 and demolition commenced 18:05:1994
