It`s looks like a mistery place there.
I`d like to go there once.
I`ve no posiblity to delivered at the beach the ship I was sailing "Presidente Illia" because it was sold and re-flagged at Montevideo port and Indian crew make his final voyage.
i think that when beaching is a very sad moment or not??

I'll have to say that I wasn't to upset to see the old "Fredericksburg" beached and scrapped. She was way passed her prime, a poor pumper and had grim accomodations.You are right about the scrapping beach, it was a miserable place! The conditions the laborers worked under was terrible. Very sad. Less than a year later we beached the Fredericksburg half sister the Chilbar in Alang India. Unfortunately it was the middle of the night and I got no pictures.
