On 08-08-09 Piero Corona pictured this general cargo vessel at Suez. It's a 38 years' old vessel built in a country which does not exist anymore for a state which does not exist anymore.

32 similar "Pioner"class vessels were built between 1968 and 1972. One of these ships has been demolished in April 2009 - the 1970 built "Valeriy Volkov" as "Ocean Eagle" in China. At the time of writing 10 vessels were still sailing fully classified. Talking about sturdy ships....
