The Cullen Cenac pushing a load inbound the Houston Ship Channel here past Morgan's Point on November 27th, 2009. If this isn't the oldest Cenac towboat it certainly is one of the oldest. Thanks to Dan Owen for shipbuilder information

A clarification. Jack Guidry founded Main Iron Works in the 1950s. Lawrence Mazerac was president in 1974. I have never heard of Gerard Mazerac.

Here is one instance where the U.S. Coast Guard is not correct. Lawrence Mazerac is one of the founders of Main Iron Works, Inc. MIW built the boat, not Mazerac. My early records show the boat was built at Bourg, La., which is the town adjacent to Houma.
