Description:
Clan Liner Clan MacLachlan at Cochin with the tug Cochin standing by to assist her departure. Completed by the company's own Greenock Dockyard in 1947 she remained with the company until October 1971 when she was delivered to Shanghai breakers. There were five ships in this class, two being steam turbine powered and three motorships. The Clan Maclachlan was one of the steamers which were both broken up in 1971, the motorships all outlasting them by up to eight years.
