ALBARKA-2, Syrian flag but owned by Saudi interests, was built at Boizenburg, East Germany, in 1972 as MIROW for Deutsche Seereredei VEB of Rostock.
In 1991 her name was shortened to MIRO before her sale to Syria in 1993 when she was converted into a livestock carrier and renamed SAAD N., followed by ALBARKA-2 in 1994 and JARALLAH in 2005.
She was photographed passing Port Tewfik, southbound in the Suez Canal, on 21st June 1995.
