As some of you may know, Kansai International airport is built on an artificial island in Osaka bay. They have recently completed construction of a second runway and are still expanding the area of the island. The rubble used for the fill is pushed to the site in these specially constructed barges by a powerful tug/work boat. In this shot an empty barge is leaving the island to be refilled with rock before returning.
