Re: Ro-Ro DON PEDRO sunk at Ibiza The bad conditions of the short sea shipping spanish ferries is known for every world. The Spanish maritime authorities don't inspection her ships, only sign her certificates without any control. It's a pity, it's truth.

Re: Ro-Ro DON PEDRO sunk at Ibiza That is not true. The Spanish Maritime authorities nowadays has detained another ship of the same Company at Denia, "Carmen del Mar" because she don't pass the inspection. Don Pedro is sinking by human error.

Re: Ro-Ro DON PEDRO sunk at Ibiza Sorry to hear from this accident. She was very familiar to me, when spent some holidays at Palma Mallorca from 1999 to 2003. She went there regularly. But anyway the RoRos ther were old. Another of those RoRos I saw this year at Istanbul, the former Ciudad de Burgos, now with the name Hayat N, but still in its Tramediteranea colours and funnel. Regards Gerolf

Re: Ro-Ro DON PEDRO sunk at Ibiza The spanish ferry "Carmen del Mar" is detained at Denia, for reporting of the trade union, severe problems with four lifeboats, cleanless and plague of cockroaches on board. The another ships of the same owner are in similar condition. It's very easy, say human error, when in Spain the SCTW 98 isn't carried out. Low salaries and bad work conditions never have been a quality flag.

Re: Ro-Ro DON PEDRO sunk at Ibiza I don´t agree with you. I was first engineer on sister ship "Don Fernando" and the two ships were in good conditions. ----------------
