The refrigerated cargo vessel DAMACO FRANCIA dropped both her anchors in order to stop the vessel after engine failure while she was downbound on the Waterway, Rotterdam 8-10-2009
The outgoing tide made her swing 180 degrees. The tugboats SMIT JAPAN and SMIT ELBE were stand-by.
The picure shows another attempt to start the engine. After about one hour the attemps were successful and , with assistence of tug SMIT JAPAN, she resumed her voyage to Ijmuiden
