Ahoy

Got to concur with the above, seen her quite a few times years ago, arriving or departing Aberdeen, Scotland. Her sister Tempest was not as regular a caller as Typhoon.

Yes, nice catch. Built 1976... I bet she could tell a few stories of adventure on the high seas in all that time!

Thanks John,

Yes she has been around a long while, and was certainly a bonus
from the windfarm operations!

My all-time favorite tug (and the Tempest ofcourse)
I liked them better in Black / white colorscheme.
great photo Derek

Hi Stan,

Thanks she is certainly a powerful looking tug and nice to see.
I agree though better in Wijsmuller colours.
She is working on the wind farms around here and they are certainly producing some interesting callers for us.
Unfortunately I don't get to see many of them!

best regards
Derek

Hi Derek,

Are these vessels working on the windfarms listed on arrival/departure schedules anywhere or are sightings just by chance?

Hi Bob,

Am pretty sure their arrivals/departures are not listed.
Its a case of watching AIS and listening to a scanner!
I heard Typhoon calling up so went down to see her coming in.

best regards
Derek
