There was news that the Croatian ferry DOMINČE was offered for sale recently. She was put on the isle of Korčula - mainland Drvenik route in 1992, when she was bought second-hand from Italy. 2009 was her last season, and I don't know yet what the future is of this subsidized route. Built 1966 at Husumer Schiffswerft GmbH, Husum, Germany (y.n. 1242). 50.80 x 12.91 x 1.64 m. 492 grt, 160 nrt, 150 dwt. Twin MWM diesel engines, 1104 kW, currently 10½ kn. 292 passenhers and 42 private cars (or equivalent). 1966 NORDFRIESLAND (Wyker Dampfschiffs-Reederei, Wyk auf Föhr, Germany). 1977 LIMBARA (Tirrenia S.p.A. di Navigazione, Naples, Italy). 1992 DOMINČE (Mediteranska Plovidba, Korčula, Croatia). 2009 last season and put up for sale.
