Purpose built, by Mitsubishi.
All of Pacific Nuclear Transport's ships since 1979 have been purpose-built, and until 2012, managed by James Fisher & Sons (now by Serco). Prior to that Fishers converted existing ships for British Nuclear Fuels' business, including PACIFIC FISHER (IMO 7030949), which IIRC was the first dedicated to PNT's new trade with Japan.
