I am pretty sure that this is IMO no 5037149, EVIE G CHIMPLES, built 1958 by Readhead's, South Shields as BARON JEDBURGH for H Hogarth of Ardrossan.
Sold by Hogarth's in 1967, she bore the EVIE G CHIMPLES name, under the Liberian flag and registered ownership of Intercontinental Maritime Ltd, until 1977, when she was sold to Lelakis Shipping Ltd, Piraeus and renamed GLOBAL MARINER.
On 30th December 1978, GLOBAL MARINER ran aground andwas wrecked off Decimil, 50 miles N of Massawa on a voyage from Nantes, France to Assab with a cargo of bagged wheat.

Hi, Paul,
It is actually still EVIE G CHIMPLES in your photo. The C on the funnel is for George C Chimples, the Greek shipowner who was based in Cleveland, Ohio. Also, if you look closely at the name I think you will find it lokks more like the Chimples name than the later one.

Bob
