Marad-owned US-flag general cargo ship CALIFORNIA as shown while departing San Francisco in February 1985. Built in 1962 as CALIFORNIA for States Lines, she went to Grace Line in 1974 as their SANTA RITA before being taken over by the US Governmant in 1980 as CALIFORNIA. In 1993, she went to RRF as CAPE JACOB.
