She suffered engine room explosion and fire in Gibraltar straits on March 19, 2010 whilst on a voyage from Togo to Varna with cargo of 17000 mt of rock phosphate. Crew of 21 were evacuated, the fire was extinguished and the ship was subsequently towed to Kynosoura by the salvage tug MED FOS (IMO 7617797).
