During the 1950's the Dutch company Royal Interocean began trading down to New Zealand, the Van Waerwyck, seen here in Lyttelton, being one of the first vessels used during the 1950's and 60's.

Correct spelling for this one is VAN WAERWIJCK. Yuo can see that the the I and J are put together in one character. (Just like IJmuiden). Lloyds has made us believe that this is equivalent to the Greek Y.
