One of a series built in Italy for British Petroleum the British Beacon was delivered in 1960. She was 35,000 dwt tons, allowing her to transit the Suez Canal fully loaded, and remained with BP until 1973 when she was sold to Liberian owners who economically renamed her Beacon. She was broken up in Korea in 1976.
