Description:
German RoRo-vessel ALGOL (IMO 7120419) entering port of Bremen in the 1980's with three RTG's (Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes) as deckcargo. This ship was in service from 1972 up to 1992 for former German Argo Reederei, linking the port of Bremen with the Finnish ports of Turku, Mäntyluoto and Rauma, sailing weekly roundtrips. In 1992 she was sold to "Mundial RoRo", named CEDAR CAR and carried secondhand cars mainly to Lebanon and Westafrica. In spring 2005 her life finally ended in Alang, where she arrived as CEDAR CARS :-( (see actual picture posted 25.Sept. - scrapped ships) | I have been on board for about 30 trips - farewell, old Lady !
