Description:

The Philippine operated DON ANTONIO, seen sailing from Philadelphia on 4th April 1967, was built at Hiroshima in 1964.

Sold to China in 1972 she initially became FLORES SEA, then in 1974 NAN PING as which breaking commenced in China on 22nd October 1992

I sailed across the Pacific on this ship 1970, aged 3, from Philippines, stop at World's Fair in Japan, through the Panama Canal to the East Coast. Wow. Thanks for the picture.

The McAllister Towing & Transportation tug JAMES McALLISTER comes around head on to push the ship's bow down river for her trip to sea. The JAMES is still around working in the Caribbean, sold there by a private owner in 2009.
