Description:

Local Clyde Tug Garnock seen here at Irvine in a Static Role in an early state of preservation as part of the Scottish Maritime Museum. She was built by George Brown & Co of Greenock and launched om 4th October 1956. In the background , you can see the famous Clipper City of Adelaide or the Carrick , as she was locally known. The small wooden craft not far away is an old RAF Pinnace launch. Her stern was severely damaged whilst taking explosives out to sea for dumping from ICI Noble at Ardeer and will never put to sea again.
