Description:

No shipping website can go without this Loch Katrine steamer which has spent all of her 110 years in the Trossachs in Scotland. Built by Denny Bros & Co Ltd at Dumbarton and transported by barge up to Loch Lomond then by horse and carriage to Loch Katrine. She was converted from steam to bio-diesel , which makes her the oldest and \\\'greenest\\\' ship in Scotland.

She is still steam powered. The conversion was from coal fired to bio-fuel fired boilers, but still using the original triple-expansion engine from 1899. Is she the oldest screw-driven passenger steamship (in the World ?) still in CONTINUOUS operation? Can anyone confirm or deny, please?
