On May 18 in Suez Channel collided Japanese boxship Rhein Bridge and US tug and barge Philadelphia, due to either boxship wrong manoeuvre or steering gear fail. Boxship damaged in fore part, towed to Suez. Barge got a hole, oil spill. Barge and tug anchored in Great Bitter Lakes area. Barge and tug were enroute Saudi Arabia – Lybia, boxship was on the way from Canada to Singapore.
