STAFFORDSHIRE had traded as BARDIC for Shaw Savill between 1960 and 1964 as here photographed - location unknown

She was built as EASTERN PRINCE by Vickers Armstrong at Newcastle and finally arrived at Hong Kong on 6.3.71 to be broken up.

As a young teenager in 1962 or 1963 I had memorably visited BARDIC while she was berthed at Avonmouth. I recall that her engine room was in a poor state.

Great photo Malcolm, I sailed on the Bardic as a relief did a coastal trip signed on her 09/01/63 in Hull paid off her 01/02/63 in Glasgow
