Description:

Small trader Southern Tiare arriving Napier 15.10.05. She services the small community on the Chatham Islands several hundred km's east of New Zealand. She has not collided with wharf, just berthing without tug aids, securing the bow line first and about to swing her stern in. Also pilot exempt as a regular caller here, so considerable savings on no tugs, no pilot and just two linesmen (fore and aft).
