Hi Romanfly, your info absolutely correct, vsl was declared "total loss" and scrapped at Gadani B.

Nice picture. I was on board on her sistership, Eco Europa, in 2001-2002 as 2/O. Unfortunately, Eco Africa was scrapped at Gadani Beach on the 16/02/2010 due to a nasty fire in engine room occurred on the 12/10/2009 in Egypt (Ain Sukhna if I remember well) during discharging. Two years ago, while attending a training course,I met some officers of Carboflotta (her Owner) and they told me that the engine room was in fire for three days before shore teams and ship's personnel succeeded. Damages were so heavy that drydock for repairs was considered economically not feasible.
