The aircraft carrier in the background is HMS INVINCIBLE, R05, and the Monitor vessel in the drydock is M33, renamed MINERVA in 1925, and later renamed C23, in 1940, when she was used as a hulk by the port auxiliary service at Portsmouth. Now restored as M33 and on display as a museum piece at Portsmouth historic dockyard.
