Steel barquentine designed by Baron Adrien de Gerlache (1866-1934) officer of the Belgian Royal Navy who led the Belgian Antartic Expedition (1897-1899) and built in 1932 in Great Britain. Used as trainingvessel for the Antwerp Maritime College untill 1960. Now it is a museum located in the port of Ostend. Occasionaly a short trip at sea is made with volunteers as crew.
