Already several container ships of the same age (early 90's) have been scrapped so either that's the next step for this vessel too or then she goes to MSC or some other owner who are keen to use older ships as well.

None the less, still must be an eyesore for maersk (should they even care)

By the take-over of P&O Nedlloyd Blue Star became a 100% subsidiary of Maersk Line. The company was sold to Hamburg shipowner Komrowski in 2009.
Maersk Ship Management is still providing crews to the fleet, however, apparently not paint.

But it is not a Maersk ship. Only chartered to them by Blue Star GmbH.

Must be rare to see a Mearsk ship in this condition.
