Description:
Built by Schlieker-Werft Shipyards,Hamburg, West Germany,in 1959 as hull#533 as RHINE ORE for Navios Corp.
546'x73'10"x40'2" Sold to Hall Corp of Canada,and rebuilt as a lakes frieghter 730'x75'x75'9"x40'2" and renamed STEELCLIFFE HALL in 1978.When HALCO went Bankrupt in 1988,she was sold to N M Patterson and Sons,Ltd and renamed WINDOC(2). Opperated untill Aug 11,2001,when traviling the Welland Canal,she had the Allanburg Bridge
lowered on the vessel, tearing off the pilot house, and stack. A fire also broke out,and the ship grounded in the canal. After the fire , was declaired CTL and towed to Hamilton,then ,Toronto. Now rests in scrapyard in Port Colborne,Onrt.Photo at Port Huron,Mi about 1989
