Hello
Elorn is not the name of this Fireboat. I know that even Flottes de Combat do the mistake.
The Y783 have no name - Yes it's thrue !
Some people at Brest call her Y783 and some VIR (Vedette d'Intervention Rapide). It seems that Elorn was an idea of name some years ago and it was written in a book and since then everybody reproduce the mistake...
I've personnaly investigated on it with the Marins Pompiers and the Gendarmerie Maritime as another French navy ship have this name : the Gendarmerie Maritime P601 based at Concarneau. please see http://www.shipspotting.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=137545 Salut Patrick,
Tu as fait un travail photographique exaustif à Brest ...

Salut Christian,
Merci pour la correction, effectivement ma source étant le dernier Combat Fleet ...
J'ai effectivement passé une belle journée de photo. J'espère faire de même à Toulon et de nouveau à Brest l'an prochain.
