Description:

I was many time in flight as cockpit crew with BIMAN Bangladesh Airlines and some weeks I was 3 or 4 times at Chittagong were I've taken this pictures from the cockpit just after take off. Unfortunuatly most of the time the weather was bad. 5 april 2001

This is an excellent phot. post some more if you have them. I think I would work on the bank line ship when it was being built at Doxfords. thank you

The Unithai ship is probably CHIANGMAI NAVEE which was sold to Bangladesh breakers in 2/2001. The LASH ship is probably Green Valley, sold to Bangladesh 3/2001.

Let's see if we can try and identify some of these ships! Should be fun!

I see an American built LASH carrier and a former Bank line cargoship in this pic. Any suggestions for names?

Judging from the short derrick posts on the wheelhouse, the Bank line ship is probably one of the fish class ships built at Sunderland from the late 1970s. These were Pikebank, Tenchbank and Dacebank, built at Doxfords,(Pallion) and Roachbank, Ruddbank, Troutbank built at Laings (Deptford)
