What a great carrier she was, decommissioned 1992, she was in service for almost 47 years! I think this picture was taken in her final years, as the F18's are on deck (she couldn't take F14's).

What's more interesting, is that there seem to be several pleasure craft sailing right up to her. That would be impossible these days!!!!
