Russian naval historitian, photografer and medic (his Airbase forums nickname was DOKTOR) Vitaliy Kostrichenko died in Sevastopol on 13 July. His books, articles and photos here at Shipspotting and at Airbase Naval forum are the best memory of him.

It's not 1989! It's July 1988 - Soviet Navy Day. Blagorodny wasn't in Leningrad in 1989/
