Description:

A 46-gun frigate launched at Chatham Dockyard in 1824 and is now the sixth oldest ship afloat in the world. Sister ship to the fully restored Royal Navy Leda Class sailing Frigate HMS Trincamalee based at Hartlepool. Built after the Napoleonic Wars when the Royal Navy was downsizing and therefore NEVER had her masts and spars fitted and utilised as a RN cadet training ship and hulked. She can still be seen on Dundee's Waterfront area. Having spent 140 years in Commission , she retired in 1968.
