She was built in 1894 by Howaldtswerke's subsidiary Howaldt & Co. at Rijeka/Fiume under name LEGY for shipyard's own account and use. As she was the first newbuilding of new shipyard her builder's number could only be 1 and certainly not 452. In 1902 Howaldt & Co. ceased to exist and LEGY was sold to Impressa Triestina di Tomasso Cossovich & Ci. of Trieste. In 1922 she arrived at Split and under name DOKET had been used for harbour towing.
