Nice photo of the Meteoor. From january 1977 till june 1977 i was 2nd engineer on this vessel. In that period we sailed between Miami, Fla. and Curacao, Aruba and Santo Domingo. Later between Miami, Santo Domingo, Christiansted, St Croix and Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas.

A website made by former KNSM-sailors mention:
"Early 1973 we left for New York and started a new service: two weekly New York - Baltimore - Philadelphia - Nassau - Port-aux-Prince - Kingston. Every friday in each two weeks we departed from New York. In 1979 we went back to Holland."

Vessel is METEOOR of company K.N.S.M. at Amsterdam.
This is an old type ro/ro-vessel with ramp at stern.
Photo is certainly not in the Netherlands, looks more like USA eastcoast. The METEOOR was sailing some time between Carabean and USA with trailers and containers. Nice picture of this oldie!
