Launched:15/11/1949. Completed:24/1/1950.
Builder: Frederikshavn Vaerft, Frederikshavn, Denmark.
Propulsion: 1 screw; diesel 2SA 5cyl. (340x570) type; Atlas-Polar M55M 580bhp, by A/B Atlas, Stockholm.
2 passengers.
1950 - "KLINTHOLM" - Det Forenede D/S A/S, Denmark. Registered at Middelfart, Denmark.
1950-1965 mainly employed on Copehagen - Antwerp route.
1966 - "DIMITRIOS" - E.&S.Kontos and others, Piraeus, Greece.
1974 - new owner, Omonia Shipping Co. Ltd., Piraeus
1976 - new owner, Dimitrios Shipping Co. Ltd., Piraeus.
1979 - "CORNILIA" - Anepup Ltd., Piraeus
2/4/1982 - beached at Gythion as above, and likely still there.
Although there was a name change in 1979, it is "DIMITRIOS" that appears painted forward on the hull. Either the name "CORNILIA" was never painted (she was rumoured to be carrying contraband Turkish cigarettes to Italy), or it has weathered away.
