Saw this vessel at Progreso, Mexico in 2004. I believe that she was originally a Norwegian heavy lift vessel but she was discharging grain when I saw her. Owned at the time, I understand, by an Indian businessman. Crew was a mix of Indians, Pakistanis and Tanzanians.

Max, Thank you for the information ref Azania. When I saw the vessel and had a look around her I was advised that the owner at the time was an Indian businessman. The crew believed that she had been purchased with the intention of trading her in the indian Ocean but she pickred up one cargo after another in the caribbean and as i presume she was therefore making mioney she was left there!
