Built in 1967 by Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft AG as TAKLIFT 3.
Seen arriving during sleet in the Upper Pool of London 16th December 2011 to lift the recently collapsed brow of HMS Belfast seen here:

Thanks Ria and Tonga.
That's the view from my office balcony. Unfortunately work got in the way of getting out there earlier to see her go under the bridge and as Bob says I can only assume that the gear was folded back as per Holger's shot as she came through. It would have been a good sight to see anyhow. She must have tied up to the buoy in the picture whilst raising the gear before going over to HMS Belfast to raise the collapsed brow. This was eventually achieved at about 7 p.m. so it cant have been an easy job!

I know nothing but it seems pretty obvious to me that the gear would be lowered to get under the bridge. See Holger Jaschob's pic immediately above to see how far it can be lowered.

A really first class shot John; and interesting that she was able to get under Tower Bridge... or did she have to lower the sheerlegs?
