Description:
BROWIND was photographed outbound from Portishead on 23rd July 1966 after discharging a cargo of phosphate rock at the long since demolished Albright & Wilson plant at Portishead Dock near Bristol.
She had been built at Gothenburg in 1935 as BIRKALAND, becoming BROWIND in 1960 before purchase by A.Sigalas & Platis Brothers in 1966. She was broken up at Piraeus, moving to an Eleusis breaker's yard on 28 October 1978.
