Kodiak Queen's former names: ex-Global Queen (07); ex-Kodiak Queen (67); ex-Vardshov (61); ex-YO 44;
reportedly one of five vessels that survived the 7Dec41 attack on Pearl Harbor.

(Sep/2014): last owner, Stanley Hedrington, planned to move vessel
to Trinidad to have it restored there;
(Sep/2015): vessel remains in derelict state in Baughers Bay

Thanks Mike; I have added the link to all my Kodiak Queen/YO 44 pictures;
I agree that this historically important WWII vessel should be honoured and properly preserved, like the Liberty ship Jeremiah O'Brien (especially since the latter was only one of "a dime a dozen.")

YO-44 was present in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7th, 1941, bringing the total of "known" surviving vessels from the attack to 5.
