Hi Robert,
It's basically a landing craft to supply logging camps, fishing lodges etc., with primitive water access only; very handy to transport vehicles there and back. I have a photograph somewhere showing this vessel with a "honey wagon" (tanker truck to empty septic tanks) en route to a fishing lodge.

Hi Dirk, what is the main purpose of that kind of ship...First time i see one like that...A bit confuse...very strange machine..
