The tug was originally the LEHIGH, delivered on 2 Dec 1953, built at the RTC Shipyard in Camden, NJ for the Reading Railroad Company. She operated on the Delaware River with her sisters DELAWARE, BRANDYWINE and SCHUYLKILL for many years. Sold to the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, the tug worked in Baltimore for a few years. Sold again to Crescent Towing in New Orleans, she became the CRAIG SMITH. Sold recently to new owners in Mexico.

Hi Capt Ted,

understand you saw this tug already in Veracruz some time ago. So it is still fully seaworthy for long voyages. Veracruz>Coatzacoalcos is 126 nm :-)
